2008 Session Information - Dates and Fees

Tuition:

1. For both sessions (June 15 - 28, 2008) or two family members for one session
Full Room and Board: $ 865 (includes Sat. night, June 21st) Total $1040
Commuter (till 5:30pm): $555 (includes lunch and snacks)* Total $730
Commuter plus (till 10pm): $635 (includes 2 meals & snacks)* Total $810

2. For one session (Session 1 June 15 – 21 or Session 2 June 22 – 28)

*Breakfast and dinner are also available for a fee of $8 per meal.

Individual evening sessions for commuters: $15 each (Sometimes commuters want to come to one evening event.) This is something that the student might decide on during the week and does not need to be pre-arranged.

All commuters are invited to Sunday kick-off pool party at no extra fee. Come about 7:30.

Arrival times: Boarding Participants should arrive about 4 pm on Sunday and should leave by 11:00 AM on the Saturday they depart. Commuter students are invited to come Sunday night about 7:30 PM for the pool party.

Arrival times: Commuters come Monday morning at 9:00. Each morning we will leave the dormitory at 9:30. (You are welcome to come earlier and sit in the living room and read if that is more convenient for your commute. You do not need to come on Saturday.

To apply: Please print, fill out, and FAX the reservation form with your check for the total amount. You can send your other forms any time before you arrive for the symposium, but they are all required before a student can participate. Please send them as early as you can.

Deadlines and Discounts

Tuition is due June 6th. A $50 late fee is charged after June 6th and has been included in the amounts above.

$50 refundable CASH deposit is due on arrival for damage and keys. Deposits will be returned at checkout on the last day once the dormitory and equipment are cleared and the keys are returned. Do not send this ahead of time. BRING this when you arrive. This is required of all commuter and boarding students. It must be CASH (not a check).

UT employees are eligible for a $50 discount on your total bill.

Additional Information

Tuition and fees cover all academic materials and equipment for the program, professional supervision 24 hours a day, instruction by an outstanding faculty, mentor-to-student ratio of 1 to 6, any necessary transportation within the program, all required entrance fees, and a symposium T-shirt. Students may want to have money for sodas, pizza, UT apparel, souvenirs, etc. Check the “To Bring” list to make sure you have everything you need.

Note: Lunch and snacks are included for commuters, who should arrive at 9:30 am and leave between 5:30 and 6:00pm. Commuters who wish to come for breakfast or stay for dinner are welcome but will need to pay $7.00 for each extra meal. Full room and board and commuter plus costs include 3 meals a day and snacks.

Full tuition includes residence in Hardin House, a private dormitory. Students must bring their own linens, or linens packs are available from Hardin House for $20.

Parking is available on site at no charge, subject to space availability. Students may not use their vehicles during the symposium.

Students will have use of the limited dormitory computers and a state-of-the-art university computer lab. They are welcome to bring their own laptops, etc., but Internet access is available in the dormitory only for the Hardin House computers.
